Hey guys

Just sitting on my lunch break anxiously waiting on a telephone call/text message from my mum or dad to let me know how the car has got on today with the the MOT.

Not feeling overly confident tbh as there are a few small things which I think might fail it (such as seeing liquid dripping from my rear shock one day - but I tasted it and a) it tasted like water b) Im still alive) and also I removed the reverse light as I put on a LHD left cluster - but been informed this shouldn't be a fail.

I shall keep us all informed of how skint I am tomorrow

No reverse light!!!

So when you reverse do you stick your head out the window and shout "beep, beep, beep, this shopping trolley is reversing..." and so on?

lol, only kidding, good luck!

Good thing is that I can give the wheels a good scrub on Saturday morning before I put them back on I guess.

Fuckin ragin that I failed on such a trivial thing (at least he didnt notice that my rear shock was fook'd)

Not really that trivial, does impede the car, after all it should be rubbing. I agree it seems a bit silly but if they let it go you could drive away thinking your car was 100% ok.

You know it rubs, so you drive and take precautions so it doesnt, but doesnt mean its really safe or roadworthy.

After all if Granny X came and bough the car and drove it about rubbing all day long with her mates in the back, and one day she was driving along and the tyre blew up because it had been rubbing so much would that be safe..

Never mind if your rear shock fails and you veer across the rd, killing Mrs Z and her little kiddies.

Its like haivng tinted lights, you know they wont pass an MOT, so you take them off and put your standard ones on.

Ok so in a bad mood tonight, mean this in a nice way, but you know it could happen.

 the dude has a point but I am choosing to stick by my opinion that the guy is wasting my time by making me fit my steel wheels for 3 days

Yea some twat in a modded corsa came bounding over to my side of the rd tonight. Guess his alloys, shody suspension and stupid bodykit couldnt keep him on the road going round the corner.

There is a bounce on that corner, but its been there for 20 odd yrs, so its not like its a new thing!

Thankfully i managed to avoid the stupid twat and pull over, needless to say he was flooring it away....

Hence the foul mood.

I lifted a twat for something similar to that last night...guy swerved right in front of the car ahead of us making him break sharply so we pulled him over....he was suddenly very quiet!

Was a nasty white one too, with body kit that looked as if it doubled the width of the car and was stuck on with chewing gum.

 speewwwwwww

Always thing  looks more like someone about to spew!

I feel the proportion of the copper/regular Joe ratio is a touch high in this forum...I shall be censoring my posts appropriately

Matt i'm not a copper! If i was i'd have chased after the twat and booked him for dangerous driving, impounded that shed of his, made him prove ever little mod was declared, and that it was fully taxed, tested and insured.

Then make him go through an MOT and VIC check before allowing him to buy back his car.

But sadly the world is safe and i'm not a copper..
