Right, weeel the time has come to sell my sporting, as i've gone diesel with a sexy alfa 147 jtd :D. Im still busy sort of preparing the sporting atm. cleaning it, etc etc so it isnt quite ready yet (taking a while, cause its in aberdeen, and i live in perth at the mo!) anyway, ill give u the specs

X reg (reg early 2001) Fiat Punto Sporting 1.2 16v
6 speed box
dunno which blue it is? its the nice dark metallicy one
approx 65k on the clock
Part service history. the last few services were done by Ransomann (the previous owner) and the local garage in Perth, but didn't get them to stamp the book, have got the receipt somewhere though.
timing belt due to be changed at 72k

pretty much standard, apart from red dot grooved disks and red dot pads (cant remember how old the pads are, upgraded it all about 7-8 months back, i have a brand new set spare so ill supply them with the car (also red dot))

also lowered 50mm on PI springs, and has a supersprint backbox (not loud if ur worried :D) the side strips have been taken off also, and I thought the car lookd shweet with these mods, so I left it as that, oh, and it also has punto mk2b rear lights (which I took off my first punto active sport).

good points:
its fast.. very fast infact for a 1.2, as im sure everyone is aware its one of the quicker 1.2s available.
mot till feb nxt year
tax till august 07 I think, ill need to check that
has Blueish hid headlights.
only 65k for an Xreg, no too shabby really!
6x9s in the rear shelf (leaving them in or there will just be a holey parcel shelf)
newish tyres loads of tred, fronts and backs about 5 months old, with not much distance covered on them cause everything is local in Perth.
main Remote Central locking key present, and spare.

Bad Points (oh dear):
right well during its last MOT it got a few advisories which wud be good to address.

the oil sump has corroded away, and has now become 'porous'. though i've found it not leaking any oil yet. but when you touch it, it does feel oily. so it would be best to replace this somepoint soon.

the o/s handbrake cable has 'poor efficiency'. still works fine, and holds on a hill with a full car of people.

theres a small crack in the front bumper when it kissed a dear. (pics to follow)

there are several very small dings on the doors, (bout 3 on one side, 1 on the other). This is due to complete tits in the car parks opening doors against mine etc (and cause of not having bump strips, obviously its a bit of an issue :D)

there is a small amount of rust bubbling round the o/s rear arch. hasnt broken through the paint though and is treatable.

both front seats flip forward to let people in the back, but don't move on their tracks, (they broke before, and i fixed them both, but about half a year on, they broke again (usually first driver's seat, then passanger's seat))

anyhow ill add any more details if i remember. ill probably revamp the advert as soon as im finished gathering all the stuff and its completely ready to sell.

Bargain of the centuary.

Almost tempted to buy her back, but 1.2 is not big enough for me.

Has the car had a belt change in the last 3 years?

Strictly speaking it was due it's 2nd change last year.

Cambelt was replaced on its MOT in 05 (i think, might have been 06) by my local garage, however there was no mention on the invoice of the tensioners getting replaced.

It should really be every 3 years, time is just as much a factor as wear.
